Description
The Kansas State Historical Society (KSHS) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes remains and objects from several counties in Kansas, with cultural affiliation determined to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. The notice invites written requests for repatriation of these remains and objects, which may occur on or after May 18, 2026.
