Description
The Coast Guard proposes to establish a temporary security zone in Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida, to safeguard official parties, VIPs, and attendees during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Fan Fest events. The security zone restricts anchoring and remaining within the area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Miami or a designated representative. The zone will be enforced 24 hours a day from June 13, 2026, through July 5, 2026, to address security concerns due to waterfront access to event venues. Vessel traffic will be allowed to transit around the zone but may not stop or anchor within it except in emergencies.
