Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), California State University, Sacramento intends to repatriate certain cultural items defined as objects of cultural patrimony. These items have a cultural affiliation with the Wilton Rancheria, California. The collection includes six objects such as groundstones, flaked stones, and unmodified stones, likely collected in the 1960s and 1970s from the Woodbridge Ranch area in Sacramento County. Repatriation may occur on or after May 18, 2026, and requests for repatriation can be submitted by affiliated Indian Tribes, Native Hawaiian organizations, or lineal descendants.
