Eastern Washington University has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The university has determined a cultural affiliation between the human remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations, specifically the Puyallup Tribe of the Puyallup Reservation. The repatriation of these remains may occur on or after May 18, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the university's NAGPRA Coordinator.
