The U.S. Air Force's 99th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research for student housing services to support the 6th Combat Training Squadron (6 CTS) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, Air Combat Command, 99th Contracting Squadron (99 CONS LGC) - 6th Combat Training Squadron (6 CTS) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the requirement is for commercial lodging providers. - Products/Services Requested: - Student housing (lodging accommodations) for Tactical Air Control Party Formal Training Unit students - 2- or 3-bedroom units for 80 students by contract start - Increase to 130 students by the following year - All units must be non-smoking, secure, and within 20 miles or 30 minutes of Nellis AFB - Each unit must include furnishings, linens, queen beds, kitchen appliances, internet (minimum 30 Mbps), washer/dryer or laundry facility, and common room furniture - 24/7 lodging services including maintenance, security, quality control, and management - Emergency repairs must be responded to within 2 hours and initiated within 6 hours; non-emergency repairs within 24 hours and completed within 3 business days - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All accommodations must meet federal housing standards - Contractor provides all furnishings and amenities - Service must be available 24/7, with strict response times for repairs - Housing must be located within a specified distance/time from Nellis AFB - No specific part numbers or branded products are referenced; the focus is on service and facility standards.

Description

SUBJECT:  Request for Information (RFI) for a 6 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Student Housing              1.    This is a RFI notice only. This RFI is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10.   

2.    The 99th Contracting Squadron is seeking market information from qualified, experienced and interested vendors who can supply the items and perform services outlined below and in the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for 6 CTS student housing.

3.    Request interested firms respond to the following:

a.    Identify your firm’s information (name, address, phone number, CAGE code). b.    Identify if your company is a large or small business.  If applicable, identify what small business program(s) (i.e. SBA Certified 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, HubZone, etc.) your company is certified as.   c.    Identify the appropriate amount of calendar days required to respond to a RFP. d.    What is the timeframe needed from time of award to transition and begin new service. e.    Any other comments, feedback or response on how to improve this requirement is highly encouraged.  f.    The Government wants to ensure transparency of this process and ensure interested firms are provided the same information. If your firm has a question regarding this RFI, can the Government post your firm’s questions, along with the Government’s response, on SAM.gov, GSA, etc. (your firm’s name will not be disclosed to the public)?

4.    Only electronic responses will be accepted. Please send responses via email to the primary point of contact, TSgt Yeury Castillo Pena, at yeury.castillo_pena.1@us.af.mil, no later than Thursday, 23 April, 2026, 2:00 pm Pacific Time. Earlier submission is highly encouraged.

5.    This RFI notice is issued for planning purposes only. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
