The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is seeking contractor services for the removal and replacement of flooring in two classrooms at Ramey Unit School in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Facilities Branch, Procurement Division - Products/Services Requested: - Removal of existing flooring and installation of new vinyl flooring (Luxury Vinyl Tile or Sheet Vinyl) in two classrooms totaling approximately 1,636 square feet - Demolition, subfloor inspection, surface preparation, floor leveling, installation of new flooring systems, and final cleanup and disposal - All labor, materials, and equipment to be provided by the contractor - Product Line Items: - Flooring replacement in Classroom 1: ~1,036 sq ft (LVT or Sheet Vinyl) - Flooring replacement in Classroom 2: ~600 sq ft (LVT or Sheet Vinyl) - Demolition, materials and installation, cleanup and disposal (each as separate line items) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with federal and local codes - Coordination with DoDEA security for facility access - Adherence to safety and security protocols - All work must be completed during the school summer break, within a two-month period - No specific OEMs, vendors, or product part numbers are specified in the solicitation - Place of performance is Ramey Unit School, a federal facility serving military and federal civilian families

Description

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), one of only two federally operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade educational programs for the Department of Defense (DoD). Globally positioned, DoDEA operates 160 accredited schools in 9 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico, employing approximately 11,828 staff members to serve over 69,000 children of active-duty military and DoD civilian families.

Ramey Unit School, part of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), is located on 20 acres in northwest Puerto Rico near Aguadilla. It serves approximately 500 students from Pre‑K through 12th grade, primarily children of active‑duty military members and federal civilians stationed at USCG Air Station Borinquen and other nearby federal agencies.

This requirement is for the removal of existing flooring and the installation of new flooring in two (2) classrooms at Ramey Unit School. Work includes demolition, subfloor inspection, surface preparation, floor leveling, installation of selected flooring systems, and final cleanup and disposal.
