The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is seeking a contractor for a multi-year contract to provide inspection, maintenance, and repair services for the Dredge Wheeler, a large hopper dredge. - Scope of Work: - Inspection, maintenance, and repairs to the hull, steel structures, dredging equipment, propulsion system, and auxiliary systems aboard the Dredge Wheeler - Contractor must supply all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, machine shop facilities, and transportation (except government-furnished items) - Labor and Equipment Requirements: - Labor categories include superintendents, foremen, machinists (inside and outside), welders, pipefitters, and laborers - Both straight time and overtime hours specified for each labor category - Rental of welding machines, air compressors, and pick-up trucks required - Transportation of personnel and provision for meals and lodging when working away from home port - Contract Structure: - Firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract - Base year plus four one-year option periods (up to five years total) - Task orders will define specific quantities and schedules, with major work during biennial wet-dock overhauls - Location: - Primary place of performance is the Corps of Engineers wharf at 7400 Leake Ave, New Orleans, LA - No specific OEMs or proprietary parts are identified in the solicitation - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must have access to machine shop facilities and be able to mobilize labor and equipment to the vessel as needed - Materials/parts/consumables and subcontractor services are included as a lot with an estimated value

Description

Work consisit of inspection, maintenance, and repairs to hull, steel structures, dredging equipment, propulsion system, and auxiliary systems aboard the Dredge Wheeler. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, supervision, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, machine shop facilities, and transportation (except those items identified as government-furnished in Section C-5 of the PWS), to perform the scope of work, as described.
