NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center Engineering Directorate is seeking bulk delivery of specialized metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for advanced hydrogen separation testing in support of Mars and long-duration mission life support systems. - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Engineering Directorate, Space Systems Department - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) as contracting office - OEMs and Vendors: - Framergy (sole source for NKMOF-1-Ni MOFs) - Products/Services Requested: - 1 kg of NKMOF-1-Ni MOFs, formed into spherical pellets - Two 1-kg batches of pelletized Cu[Ni(pdt)2] MOFs: - Each batch consists of spherical or semi-spherical particles (8-12 mesh) - One batch bound with Binder 1, one with Binder 2 (each binder must meet specific thermal and chemical stability requirements) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - MOFs must be delivered as spherical or semi-spherical pellets sized 8-12 mesh - Each batch must use a different organo-ligand binder with defined stability characteristics - Materials are intended for hydrogen separation testing as part of the Closed-Loop ECLSS Air Revitalization (CLEAR) Project for Mars and long-duration missions - Framergy is identified as the only provider for NKMOF-1-Ni MOFs - Place of Performance: - NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC)

Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for 1 kg of NKMOF-1-Ni MOFs, formed into spherical pellets.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Framergy under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that Framergy 800 Raymond Stotzer PKWY STE 2011 College Station Texas 77845- 6371 United States is the sole provider of 1 kg of NKMOF-1-Ni MOFs, formed into spherical pellets

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The Government intends to acquire Commercialitems or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 4/20/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
