Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Environmental Laboratory (EL) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Deep Trekker Incorporated., 4914 Distribution Drive, Tampa, Florida 33605-5926 for Brand-name or equal to supply and rental purchase of Deep Trekker Revolution Base Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and Waterlink 3D-15 Sonar Integration System.

Research in the area of unmanned vehicles requires multiple systems to conduct underwater data collection through the use of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).  Active research effort requires the rental and purchase of an ROV to replace system damaged in the field to meet existing scheduled field studies.  System must be available for delivery to Vicksburg, MS no later than 30 days after receipt of order. The system must meet the following performance requirements:

System must provide the Revolution Base Package, complete with Dead Reckoning and Sonar Integration. Depth rating 305m with Tether Length Options Enhanced 4K camera; 4K30, 1080P30 Quick swap Dual Chamber batteries 260-degree Revolving head External lighting, Double 3400 Lumens Extreme mobility, stabilization control and sampling for sediments Comprehensive sensor integrations Support Real Time 3D Imaging, Detailed API for Third Party Integrations, 2D & 3D Capabilities, Web Based GUI

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334511 – Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,350 employees.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.  However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit capable quotes, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the brand-name supply.  All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
