Hall County, Georgia is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive cleaning, repair, and maintenance services for firefighting turnout gear. - Government Buyer: - Hall County Government, Financial Services, Purchasing Division, and Hall County Fire Rescue - Products & Services Requested: - Cleaning, advanced inspection, and repair of firefighting turnout gear (coats, pants, suspenders, helmets, boots, gloves) - Routine and advanced cleaning using NFPA-approved detergents, including biological decontamination and ozone injection - Advanced inspection services (moisture barrier testing, thermal liner assessment, seam integrity checks) - Repairs (zippers, Velcro, trim, reinforcements, hardware, liners, warranty patches) - Modifications, retrofits, and customizations (alterations, installation/removal of components, identification patches, and lettering) - PPE rental and back-up gear for various durations (4, 8, 12, 20 weeks) - Emergency Response Program (ERP) for rapid turnaround (within 48 hours in emergencies) - Purchase of related items: gloves, hoods, gear bags, Gore hydrostatic testers, cleaning detergents - Shipping, pickup, and delivery services to/from Hall County facilities - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All services must comply with NFPA 1851 and NFPA 1971 standards - Vendors must be licensed, insured, and located within 50 miles of Gainesville, GA or provide pickup/delivery with tracking - Emergency turnaround for gear cleaning/repair within 48 hours - Documentation required for all work performed - Fixed cost proposal required; contract is non-exclusive with up to four annual renewals - No specific OEMs are mandated; solicitation is open to all qualified vendors able to meet requirements - Evaluation Criteria: - Breadth of service, experience, financial stability, personnel, rates, references, and lead times - Primary Locations: - Hall County Government Center, Hall County Fire Rescue, Hall County Warehouse (all in Gainesville, GA)
