Providence Health Care Society intends to directly award a contract to provide external pharmacy services for the Road to Recovery (R2R) Program. Services include medication dispensing, blister packaging, medication records and auditing, restocking ward stock, developing medication policies, training, controlled substance support, on-call medication support, and participation in medication safety meetings. The contract term is up to two years with an estimated value not exceeding $3,500 per year. The supplier's primary revenue is expected from BC Fair Pharmacare reimbursements rather than direct payments from PHC.
