NOAA is seeking specialized RNA sequencing services to support research on sea scallop population responses to environmental changes. - Government Buyer: - Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) - Western Acquisition Division (Seattle, WA) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; however, Illumina sequencing technology is referenced as the required platform. - Products/Services Requested: - 3Tag-Seq poly A RNA library preparation and Next Generation Sequencing for 40 purified RNA samples from sea scallops - Minimum coverage: 3-4 million single-end reads per sample - Electronic delivery of FASTQ files - Illumina RNA library preparation with Poly-A enrichment - Delivery of 1Gb Illumina NovaSeq 6000 PE150 sequencing (6 million reads per library) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All labor, equipment, materials, supervision, transportation, permits, insurance, and quality control must be provided by the contractor - Firm-fixed-price contract; set aside 100% for small businesses (including HUBZone, SDVOSB, EDWOSB) - Delivery of sequencing data to NEFSC Milford Laboratory - Completion of library preparation, sequencing, and data delivery within 60 days of receiving samples - Contractor employee training required within 30 business days of award and annually thereafter
