The California Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking bids for as-needed door maintenance and repair services at its offices in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. - Government Buyer: - Employment Development Department (EDD), Contract Services Group - Scope of Work: - As-needed maintenance and repair of doors, gates, and activating devices at multiple EDD facilities - Services include: - Replacing door handles and lever assemblies - Installing crash bars and door closers - Refinishing and painting doors - Repairing/installing keypads, keyless locks (keypad and card access), magnetic locks, electro-mechanical digital locks, electronic door releases, master key systems, electric access systems, ADA-compliant doors and mechanisms - Furnishing and replacing commercial grade hardware (butts, locksets, latch sets, stops, door closures, cabinet hardware, panic hardware, hinges, kick plates) - Emergency response required within 4 hours; standard service calls within 24 hours - Contractor must hold a valid D-28 license (Doors, Gates and Activating Devices) - Materials may include up to a 10% contractor markup - No guaranteed minimum amount of work; services provided when EDD Maintenance Mechanics are unavailable - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders may propose products that match existing hardware unless otherwise agreed - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation and Incentive requirements are waived - Contract awarded to the lowest responsible bidder - Special accommodations available for individuals with physical impairments upon request - Places of Performance: - Multiple EDD offices and facilities across Los Angeles and Orange Counties, including Anaheim, Cerritos, Chatsworth, Compton, Gardena, Glendale, Lancaster, Long Beach, Los Angeles, North Hollywood, Pasadena, Pomona, Santa Fe Springs, Torrance, and Van Nuys
