Description
The FAA is removing Emergency Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2026-01-51, which applied to all Airbus Helicopters Model H160-B helicopters. The original AD required replacing the upper and lower pitch rod end bearings on the main rotor pitch rods and reporting after replacement due to concerns about structural failure. However, the manufacturer later determined the failure was caused by inadequate maintenance procedures and not an unsafe condition, leading the FAA to concur and remove the emergency AD. This removal terminates all requirements of the previous emergency AD and becomes effective April 14, 2026.
