This opportunity involves the Hawaii State Public Library System's (HSPLS) procurement of Automated Materials Handling (AMH) systems for two library locations. - Government Buyer: - Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS) - Fiscal Services Office - Products and Services Requested: - Complete AMH systems for: - Logistics Support Section (LSS) on Oahu (central sorting facility) - Hilo Public Library on Hawaii Island - System components include: - Staff induction stations - Conveyors - Sorters - Modular sorting containers (bins, totes, etc.) compatible with direct loading into delivery vehicles - Integration with existing Horizon 7.6.1 (Sirsi) Integrated Library System (ILS) and RFID/barcode infrastructure - Installation, calibration, and acceptance testing - Staff training for administration, IT, and location staff - Comprehensive maintenance and technical support (warranty, preventative/corrective maintenance, software support, parts, labor) - Support available 8:00am–8:00pm HST, 7 days a week, with on-site and virtual options - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Systems must process approximately 7,000 items/day (Oahu) and 3,300 items/day (Hilo) - Must operate reliably in Hawaii's tropical conditions - No proprietary sorting containers required - Coordination with construction contractors for facility build-out - Detailed project management and workflow optimization plans - Demonstrated experience with similar public library projects, preferably for Horizon (Sirsi) customers - Uptime guarantee of at least 99.5% - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; open to qualified providers - Place of Performance: - Logistics Support Section (LSS), Oahu - Hilo Public Library, Hawaii Island
