Statement of Requirement (SOR)

Title: Procurement and Installation of a New Automated Tissue Processor

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to define the requirements for the procurement, delivery, installation, training, and initial support for a new automated tissue processor for the histology laboratory at Ralph H. Johnson VAHCS. This equipment is essential for processing human tissue specimens for diagnostic and research purposes.

2.0 Background

The histology lab currently relies on outdated or inefficient tissue processing equipment. To meet increased workload, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and maintain regulatory compliance, a new, modern, automated tissue processor is required. This unit will support the timely and consistent processing of tissue specimens for paraffin embedding.

3.0 Scope of Work

The contractor shall provide:

Delivery of a new, fully automated tissue processor that meets the specifications outlined in Section 4.0. Onsite installation, calibration, and testing of the unit. End-user training for laboratory staff (minimum of [e.g., 5] individuals). Technical documentation including user manuals, maintenance guides, and warranty terms. Initial service support for a minimum period of [e.g., one year] post-installation.

4.0 Technical Requirements
