Description

The Ministry of Forests has issued a Notice of Intent regarding the replacement of the Community Forest Agreement for K1C, currently held by Esk’etemc at Alkali Lake, BC. The replacement agreement, if accepted, will commence on April 1, 2026, have a term of 25 years, and maintain the same land base and timber resources as the existing agreement. This notice is issued in accordance with Section 43.4 of the Forest Act by the District Manager of the Cariboo Chilcotin Natural Resource District. The opportunity is open for responses until April 20, 2026.
