NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE 36C24926Q0171 serves as a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract and is not a request for competitive quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9), intends to award a sole source contract to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Omnicell, Inc., 500 Cranberry Woods Dr., Cranberry Township, PA 16066-5224, for the procurement of an XR2 and Robotic Resident Expert. The Government requires an XR2 automated medication dispensing and packaging system, including associated Robotic Resident Expert support services. The XR2 is a high volume robotic unit that automates storage, filling, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of prescription medications. The Robotic Resident Expert provides system support, optimization, and workflow integration required for continuous packaging operations. The VA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract with the equipment, installation, and warranty on the base year and three option years covering Central Pharmacy Dispensing Service Solution Fees and Resident Robotic Expert Service Fees. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333914, Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees. Responses received will be reviewed; however, the Government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete this requirement.
