Procurement of Semi-Rigid Beam Position Monitor Cables for ALS-U at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), managed by the University of California for the Department of Energy, is soliciting proposals for the supply of semi-rigid Beam Position Monitor (BPM) cables for the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) project. - Government Buyer: - Department of Energy (DOE), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), University of California - Products/Services Requested: - Approximately 1,120 high-frequency, low-loss semi-rigid 141 coaxial jumper cable assemblies with right-angle SMA connectors - Cables must be color-coded (Blue, Red, Green, White) with equal quantities per color - Cables must withstand vacuum bake-out temperatures up to 200°C, maintain precise impedance and phase matching, and be non-magnetic - Lengths and quantities: - SMR141-525MM: 4 (First Article) + 28 (Production Batch 1) - SMR141-650MM: 4 (First Article) + 60 (Production Batch 1) - SMR141-(length)MM (525-725MM): 1024 (Production Batch 2, variable lengths) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Buy American Act, export control, and quality standards (ISO, ASME NQA-1) - First article inspection and approval required before production batches - Strict acceptance criteria, including full testing and reporting - Expedited delivery options requested - Delivery is FOB destination to LBNL in Berkeley, CA - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named in the solicitation; the opportunity is open to qualified cable assembly manufacturers - Place of Performance/Delivery: - Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, 1 Cyclotron Rd, Berkeley, CA 94720
