This opportunity involves the NIH Clinical Center's intent to sole source an MRI head coil upgrade and related components for a GE SIGNA 3T PET/MR system: - The procurement is for MRI head coil upgrades and an A2P adapter compatible with GE SIGNA 3T PET/MR (software version MR30) - Includes one A2P adapter (ZUB-02067) - Coil driver upgrades for two RAPID Biomedical head coils (models V-XQ-HQ-030-02104-001 and V-XQ-HQ-030-02105-001) - Estimated shipping charges - Products are for research use only and are not FDA-approved medical devices - Sole source justification is based on only one responsible source (Rapid MR International, LLC) being capable of meeting requirements - Other vendors may submit capability statements, but the government intends to negotiate only with Rapid MR International, LLC unless alternatives are identified - Total quoted price is $29,333.00 - Delivery is to the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD - The procurement is not set aside for small business and is not a request for proposal

Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Rapid MR International, LLC.

Acquisition Description:

The MRI head coils upgrade (Rapid MR-C-13/P-31) is required to ensure the continutiy of safe, high-quality patient care. 

The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.  All responsible sources that could provide the required may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-OLAO-CC-26-004633) by 12:00 PM eastern standard time on 04/23/2026 to: valerie.gregorio@nih.gov.

All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.  A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
