This opportunity involves a multi-year contract for maintenance and repair of specialized X-ray systems at a major U.S. Navy shipyard: - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) - Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Non-Destructive Testing Division, Quality Assurance Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Gulmay (manufacturer of the 320 kV X-ray system) - Comet (manufacturer of the iVario 450 kV X-ray systems) - Products/Services Requested: - Quarterly preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for: - Two (2) Comet iVario 450 kV X-ray systems (including X-Ray Tube Comet MXR-451/26, Power Generators Comet iVario-450/4.5, X-ray Controller, Cooler Comet XRC-4523, Tube Support Stand) - One (1) Gulmay 320 kV X-ray system (including X-Ray Tube Comet, Power Generators Model CP/160/1, X-ray Controller Model MP1/19, Cooler Model OL4503) - Services include diagnostics, safety checks, mechanical and electrical inspections, software updates, and corrective maintenance with specified response times - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All maintenance personnel must be certified and authorized by Gulmay and Comet - Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials (except government-furnished parts) - Response to unscheduled maintenance requests within 24 hours and on-site within 7 business days - Compliance with government access, badging, and security protocols - Adherence to the detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) - Period of Performance: - Base year plus four one-year option periods (total potential duration: 5 years) - Place of Performance: - Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Bremerton, WA

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.2  as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This is a non-personal services contract to provide maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs services for Government owned (one Gulmay 320 and two Comet 450) X-ray systems utilized to perform radiography at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

See attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for full details of this requirement. This requirement is being competed on an unrestricted (full and open) basis, and the Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Service type contract.

The period of performance will be 01 Jun 2026  – 31 May 2027 (base)
