Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule revising the start date for the reporting period under the PFAS Reporting and Recordkeeping Rule. The submission period will now begin on January 31, 2027, or 60 days after the effective date of a forthcoming final rule on substantive requirements, whichever is earlier. This adjustment provides additional time for stakeholders to prepare for compliance and ensures alignment with upcoming regulatory changes. The rule maintains the current six-month submission period, with an extended period for small manufacturers reporting exclusively as article importers.
