The City of Palm Springs is seeking bids for a multi-year, on-call contract to provide concrete repair and replacement services across city facilities and public rights-of-way. - Government Buyer: - City of Palm Springs Procurement and Contracting Department - Office: City Hall - Scope of Work: - Mobilization and demobilization for multiple city locations - Traffic control plan implementation per WATCH Manual - Environmental compliance: Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Best Management Practices (BMP) - Removal, disposal, and replacement of: - 4", 6", and 8" thick PCC sidewalks and drive approaches (per City Standards #230, #240, #255) - Type A and B PCC curbs and gutters (per City Standards #200, #205) - ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps - Cross gutters, spandrels, sidewalk panel grinding, and curb drains - Decorative and architectural concrete work as needed - Priority and emergency repair response capability - Labor Requirements: - Skilled concrete craftspersons, concrete laborers, equipment operators, and foreman/supervisors for specialized work - Quantities: - Up to 70,000 SF of sidewalk, 2,400 SF of 6" drive approaches, 1,500 SF of 8" drive approaches, 3,000 LF of Type A curb, 2,000 LF of Type B curb & gutter, 50 ADA ramps, and more - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All concrete must be Class 560 C 3250 with white pigmentation or curing compound - ADA compliance for ramps per city policy - Minimum five years' experience and valid Class A or C-8 Contractor License required - Must maintain a Palm Springs business license - Payment and performance bonds required upon award - Pricing for priority and emergency work must be specified - Submission: - Bids must be submitted electronically via PlanetBids with all required forms and line items - Period of Performance: - Three-year base contract with two one-year renewal options at the City's discretion
