Description
The U.S. International Trade Commission has instituted preliminary phase antidumping duty investigations to determine whether imports of polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) from China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value and causing material injury to the U.S. industry. The investigations cover PTMEG products classified under specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheadings. The Commission must reach a preliminary determination by May 26, 2026, and transmit its views to the Department of Commerce by June 2, 2026. The investigations were initiated in response to a petition filed by BASF Corporation.
