Description

The City of Denton Landfill is seeking new commercial waste hauler contracts for the fiscal year from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2028. These contracts, also known as put-or-pay agreements, aim to raise revenue for the City's Solid Waste Enterprise Fund and ensure disposal capacity in North Texas. The total tonnage allowed on all third-party disposal contracts will be limited to 150,000 tons, with excess volume charged at the published external gate rate. Contracts will be awarded based on tonnage price, credit rating, and frequency of use, with a minimum bid of $40 per ton.
