The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive fire alarm and fire sprinkler inspection, testing, maintenance, remedial repairs, and emergency service calls across all OPWDD facilities statewide. - Government Buyer: - New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Contract Management Unit - Scope of Services: - Statewide coverage divided into four lots: - Lot 1A: Fire Alarm services for New York City and Long Island (Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Queens, Richmond, Suffolk counties) - Lot 1B: Fire Alarm services for the rest of New York State - Lot 2A: Fire Sprinkler services for New York City and Long Island - Lot 2B: Fire Sprinkler services for the rest of New York State - Services include: - Inspection, testing, maintenance, remedial repairs, emergency service calls, and repairs for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems - Quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections and testing - Emergency response within two hours at all locations - Detailed documentation and reporting to OPWDD - Hourly service call rates for normal, after-hours, weekend, and holiday periods - Parts and repairs billed with markup percentages - Key Requirements: - Compliance with NFPA 72 (fire alarms) and NFPA 25 (fire sprinklers) - Valid New York State Alarm Installer License for fire alarm work - Proof of qualifications as per NFPA 25 for fire sprinkler work - Minimum five years of relevant experience - Sufficient staffing to meet two-hour emergency response requirement - Participation goals for MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses) - Compliance with prevailing wage laws, insurance, and security requirements - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or product brands are specified; the solicitation is for services, not equipment procurement - Place of Performance: - All OPWDD facilities statewide, including DDSOs (Developmental Disabilities Service Offices) and research institutes - Contracting office located at 44 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12229
