Angeles National Forest Bear Divide and Santa Clara Divide Road Paving and Fire Safety Project

The USDA Forest Service is seeking contractors for a comprehensive pavement replacement and road repair project at the Bear Divide Fire Station and along the 3N17.7 Santa Clara Divide Road in the Angeles National Forest, California. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Los Angeles Gateway Ranger District, Procurement and Property Services, National Stewardship Contracting Branch - Products and Services Requested: - Construction services for pavement replacement, including: - Pulverizing and repaving road sections with Hot Mix Asphalt (Caltrans Type A, PG 64-16 No RAP) - Installation of pavement markings and guardrail replacement - Full Depth Reclamation with asphalt pulverization (469,000 units) - Aggregate base installation (300 units) - Asphalt curb installation (4,705 units) - Corrugated metal spillways (4 units) - Heavy-duty sliding gate motor operator (All-O-Matic SL-100-DC-FP-PRO or LiftMaster CSL24UL-MC, 1 unit) - Relocation of gate, roller track, posts, and installation of new loop sensors - Mobilization, construction staking, contractor testing, erosion and pollution control - Fire prevention and suppression services during construction, including: - Provision and maintenance of fire tools, extinguishers, spark arresters, water tank trucks/trailers with pumps and hoses - Compliance with California Fire Precautionary Period requirements (April 1 to December 1) - Fire patrols, communication systems, and adherence to Project Activity Level restrictions - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs for paving materials; gate operator must be All-O-Matic or LiftMaster (or equivalent) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Strict fire prevention and suppression protocols during California's fire season - Compliance with Caltrans and Forest Service technical specifications for materials and methods - Project must be completed within 120 calendar days from notice to proceed, with a mandatory finish by the specified completion date - SBA set-aside applies - Locations: - Bear Divide Fire Station (21501 N Sand Canyon Rd, Canyon Country, CA 91387) - Forest Service Road 3N17.7, Angeles National Forest - Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles Gateway Ranger District - Contracting office in Washington, DC

Description

The purpose of this contract is to replace damaged pavements on 3N17.7 Santa Clara Divide Rd and at the Bear Divide Fire Station within the Los Angeles Gateway Ranger District on the Angeles National Forest.
