SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, under the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking proposals for the procurement and installation of a SIMES Optical Cryostat system for advanced thin-film material research. - Government Buyer: - SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (DOE contractor), Menlo Park, California - Products and Services Requested: - One (1) SIMES Optical Cryostat system with: - Cryogen-free cooling (temperature range: below 2 K to 350 K) - Magnetic field capability up to 7 tesla - Vibrational stability and piezo nano-positioners - Interchangeable sample mounts - Multiple optical fiber and coaxial cable connections - Optical access windows - Computer with Python interface for control - All supporting infrastructure: coldhead, temperature controller, magnet power supply, water-cooled compressor, cables, hoses, pumps, and control electronics - NRTL certification - Documentation and technical deliverables - Services: - On-site installation, system demonstration, and acceptance - On-site training for 5 SIMES researchers - Warranty of at least 12 months, with optional extended service contract - Environmental, safety, and health compliance; risk and hazard management; insurance compliance - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Delivery and installation at SLAC's Building 040, Menlo Park, CA - Delivery required within 6-10 months after order (ARO) or 6 months after drawing approval - Vendors must demonstrate past performance with similar systems and provide financial stability documentation - Compliance with SLAC's safety, security, and environmental standards - All personnel must complete safety training and adhere to site protocols - No specific OEMs or part numbers are named in the solicitation; offerors must meet the technical specifications outlined in the Statement of Work.

You are invited to submit a firm-fixed-price proposal in accordance with the attached Statement of Work, line items in RFP Section B (Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs), and the proposal preparation documents that have been provided.
Your proposal must be received no later than Thursday, April 30, 2026 @ 5:00pm PDT and be valid for 90 days after submission. Submissions must be provided with electronic files in PDF format. Please carefully review attached SLAC RFP 349410(RH) for further details and instructions. Any proposal clarifications must be submitted by Thursday, April 23, 2026 so that a response can be provided prior to the due date.
