This opportunity involves the U.S. Air Force seeking contractor support for water meter inspection, testing, and calibration services at Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and nearby federal facilities in Massachusetts. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), 66th Air Base Group, Civil Engineering Office (CEOES) - Scope of Work: - Inspection, testing, and calibration of 18 water meters annually at multiple locations: Hanscom AFB, Massport tarmac area, FamCamp, Water Treatment Facility at FamCamp, and Wood Street in Bedford, MA - Meter sizes include 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 inches, with quantities ranging from 1 to 10 per size each year - Contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, safety gear, materials, supplies, parts, and transportation - Field test reports required for each meter within seven days of testing - Compliance with manufacturer specifications, government safety, and confined space entry protocols is mandatory - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must be located within 60 miles of Hanscom AFB Civil Engineering Headquarters - Work must be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays - Set aside for small businesses, including women-owned and economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses - Period of Performance: - Base year plus four option years, covering a total of five years - Estimated Contract Value: - Up to $41 million over the contract period - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Locations: - Hanscom Air Force Base (primary), Massport tarmac area, FamCamp, Water Treatment Facility at FamCamp, and Wood Street, Bedford, MA

Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, hoses, gauges, test equipment, hearing protection, eye protection (including prescription safety glasses), materials, supplies and parts, transportation, and other incidentals necessary to travel to Hanscom Air Force Base (“HAFB”), MA, to inspect, test, and calibrate eighteen (18) water meters: twelve (12) meters on HAFB, two (2) meters in Massport tarmac area, two (2) meters at FamCamp, one (1) at the Water Treatment Facility at FamCamp, and one (1) meter on Wood Street, Bedford MA. (Precise locations will be provided at the time of scheduled service.) The contractor shall provide a field test report for each water meter tested within seven (7) days of testing. All services and parts provided under this contract must comply with the terms and conditions herein, the manufacturer’s equipment specifications, and this Performance Work Statement (“PWS”). The contractor’s geographical proximity to the Civil Engineering Headquarters located on HAFB shall be within sixty (60) miles.
