This opportunity involves the U.S. Air Force's Air Education and Training Command (AETC), specifically the 49th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 49th Contracting Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, seeking a contractor for ongoing maintenance of aircraft sunshades. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, Air Education and Training Command (AETC) - 49th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron - 49th Contracting Squadron (49 CONS PK) - Scope of Work: - Semi-annual inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair services for five existing aircraft sunshades - Services must comply with OEM specifications, military standards, and applicable codes - Maintenance includes structure, metal roofing, fabric, lighting, electrical systems, bird nesting mitigation, lightning protection, obstruction lighting, safety reflective devices, fall protection, and other unique attached features - Contractor must provide emergency and urgent maintenance capabilities - Deliverables include a Preventative Maintenance Plan, Quality Control Plan, and comprehensive maintenance documentation - Security training and compliance with base regulations are required - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must address a wide range of potential issues, including structural weakness, corrosion, improper installation, design and electrical defects, weather-related damage, mechanical failure, missing or loose hardware, and wildlife intrusion - All work must be documented and reported per contract requirements - Compliance with both OEM and military standards is mandatory - No specific products, part numbers, or quantities are listed; the procurement is for service and sustainment of existing infrastructure

Description

The Contractor shall provide equipment, personnel, and labor to semi-annually inspect, maintain, and repair identified discrepancies for five existing aircraft sunshades, to include but not limited to: structure, metal roofing, lights, electric, bird nesting mitigation, lightning protection, obstruction lighting, safety reflective devices, fall protection, and any other unique attached features as applicable. At a minimum, the Contractor shall inspect for, report, document, and repair identified discrepancies to include: inherent structural weakness; corrosion; improper installation; design defect; electrical defect; weather or turbulence related damage; improper use; destruction; signs or evidence of electrical, structural or mechanical failure; severed item; evidence of stress, buckling, fatigue, etc.; missing hardware; loose hardware; wildlife intrusion; and/or other discrepancies not listed above.
