Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking qualified contractors to provide asbestos abatement services across multiple campus locations. - Government Buyer: - Delgado Community College, Purchasing Department - Contact: Tracey Sheffield - Scope of Work: - As-needed asbestos abatement services for buildings at City Park, West Bank, River City, Sidney Collier, and Marine Fire School campuses - Includes removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), air monitoring, worker and respiratory protection, project decontamination, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations - Tasks include: - Mobilization for critical barriers and full containment (per sq. ft.) - Removal of vinyl asbestos floor tile and mastic (per sq. ft.) - Removal and disposal of ACM ceiling tiles and ceiling tiles below ACM fireproofing (per sq. ft.) - Abatement and replacement of spray-on fireproofing (per sq. ft.) - Cleanup of ACM materials disturbed by other work (per sq. ft.) - Removal of rigid non-friable ACM wall/ceiling material and ACM plaster on metal lath (per sq. ft.) - Removal and disposal of flexible duct connectors fireproofing (per sq. ft.) - Glove bag abatement of thermal system insulation (TSI) on pipes (per linear foot, by pipe diameter) - DEQ Asbestos Disposal Verification Form (ADVF) application and filing (per each) - Removal of ACM insulation from boiler tanks/flues (per sq. ft.) - Requirements: - Contractors must have at least five years of asbestos abatement experience - Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (Category VII, Hazardous Materials, Specialty Classification Asbestos Removal and Abatement) - Must provide references from similar projects within the last five years - Louisiana DEQ certification required for workers and supervisors - Must be registered and in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are referenced; this is a service-based contract - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Pricing must be provided per square or linear foot for each abatement task - No minimum guarantee of work; services are as-needed - Price escalation allowed based on Consumer Price Index, subject to approval - Non-mandatory pre-bid jobsite visit available - Locations: - Services to be performed at multiple Delgado Community College campuses in and around New Orleans, LA, including City Park, West Bank, River City, Sidney Collier, and Marine Fire School
