The Department of the Navy is planning a major procurement to support its virtualization and IT operations: - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy - Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) - OEM Highlight: - VMware is the primary Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for all software and services requested - Products and Services Requested: - VMware software licenses (perpetual and subscription) - VMware support and subscription (SnS) products - VMware cloud services - Incidental professional services related to VMware software and cloud solutions - These products and services will support major Navy IT programs, including CANES and the US Marine Corps - Notable Requirements: - The BPA aims to consolidate all Department of the Navy VMware purchases under one agreement - Orders will receive discounted pricing below GSA fixed prices - The BPA covers all VMware perpetual and subscription software, maintenance, and related services - Period of Performance: - The BPA will be active for three years, with ordering authority through March 2027 - Place of Performance and Delivery: - Primary contracting office is NIWC PAC, San Diego, CA - Major users and deliveries will occur across the Department of the Navy, including NSWC Carderock in Bethesda, MD
