Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, intends to carry out the disposition of human remains and associated funerary objects removed from Federal or Tribal lands. This action is in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and prioritizes disposition to lineal descendants, Indian Tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations. The disposition may occur on or after May 11, 2026, with a claim deadline of April 9, 2027. If no claim is received by the deadline, the remains and objects will be considered unclaimed.
