Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving state implementation plan (SIP) submittals from Colorado under the Clean Air Act (CAA) addressing contingency measures and Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) requirements for the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) in the Denver Metro/North Front Range Serious ozone nonattainment area. The EPA finds that Colorado has met applicable CAA requirements for contingency measures and RACT for certain stationary sources, approving motor vehicle coating contingency measures and regulatory revisions for landfill/biogas fired engines, refinery fuel process heaters, and a cold rolling mill, except for one refinery fuel process heater due to an identified error. This final rule is effective May 11, 2026.
