Description
Sonoma State University has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identifies cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the origin, types, and quantities of the remains and objects, which were collected from various sites in Sonoma County, California. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after May 11, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted to the university's authorized representative.
