Description
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) intends to contract Lux Aerobot Inc. for a one-time operational pilot involving autonomous airborne wildfire sensing using novel balloon-borne technology. The pilot includes planning, regulatory coordination, live demonstrations during the 2026 wildfire season, data delivery, and post-pilot analysis. SPSA believes Lux Aerobot Inc. is the only capable supplier due to the specialized nature of the technology and regulatory requirements.
