Comprehensive Inmate Health Care Services for Lexington County Detention Center

Lexington County Sheriff's Department is seeking proposals for comprehensive inmate health care services at the Lexington County Detention Center. - Scope of Services: - 24/7 medical, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and emergency care for an average daily population of approximately 624 inmates - On-site clinic operation with exam rooms, dental room (with X-ray), lab/pharmacy area, and other medical facilities - Staffing requirements include a full-time Health Care Administrator, licensed medical doctors, mental health counselors, dental professionals, and 24/7 nursing coverage - Mental health services are optional and priced separately, requiring a licensed psychiatrist (minimum 32 hours/month), a full-time mental health nurse practitioner, and four full-time mental health counselors - Services include intake screening, health appraisals, dental care, pharmaceutical management, detoxification, health education, and medical records management - Compliance and Accreditation: - Provider must maintain NCCHC (National Commission on Correctional Health Care) and ACA (American Correctional Association) accreditation - All personnel must be certified, licensed, and professionally trained, meeting South Carolina licensing requirements - Notable Requirements: - Firm pricing for the first three years, with annual CPI-based adjustments (not exceeding 5%) for subsequent years - Proposal bond of 5% of the total proposal amount, and performance/payment bonds for contracts over $50,000 - Background checks required for pre-bid meeting attendees - The County reserves the right to request Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services separately (not included in this RFP) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the solicitation is open to qualified health care providers - All responses must be submitted via the IonWave procurement portal - Place of performance is the Lexington County Detention Center, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington, SC 29072
