Description

The SWIFT Clean Marine Port Incentive Program at the Port of Long Beach offers funding to container terminals, non-container terminals, and other tenants to accelerate their transition to low- and zero-emission operations. Funded by a $58 million grant from the California State Transportation Agency, the program provides financial incentives for purchasing zero-emission cargo handling equipment, repowering or retrofitting propulsion engines in commercial harbor craft, and purchasing zero-emission locomotives. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal by May 1, 2026. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 6, 2026.
