Oak Hills Lift Station Replacement and Sewer Infrastructure Project – City of Omaha

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the Oak Hills Lift Station Replacement project, which includes major upgrades to sanitary sewer infrastructure and force main installation. - Government Buyer: - City of Omaha Public Works Department (with oversight from the Human Rights and Relations Department for workforce and SEB compliance) - OEMs and Vendors (Valves and Key Equipment): - A.R.I. USA, Inc. - Valmatic - DeZurik - Mueller - Products and Services Requested: - Construction of a new below-grade lift station and valve vault - Installation of approximately 1,500 LF of 4-inch PVC sanitary sewer force main (including trenchless methods) - Gravity sewer connections, manholes (including 54" I.D. and polyurea lining), and street intersection reconstruction - Installation of various valves (air release, vacuum relief, plug, check) from specified OEMs - Electrical work (NEMA 4X stainless steel junction box, 200A/3 pole disconnect, manual transfer switch) - Site work: mobilization, environmental compliance, traffic control, silt fence, guardrails, pavement, sodding, erosion control, bollards, vac-truck rental - Abandonment of existing lift station and pipes - Geotechnical engineering and pipeline inspection (CCTV) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with the City’s Small & Emerging Small Business (SEB) program; opportunity is reserved for SEB bidders unless none apply - Submission of an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) focused on workforce development and SEB participation - Optional apprentice utilization for bid incentive - 5% bid bond required for bids over $50,000; performance bond required upon award - Project is exempt from Nebraska State Sales and Use Taxes on incorporated materials/equipment - Coordination for new electrical service and maintaining operation of the existing lift station during construction - Multiple compliance forms and affidavits required (e.g., Responsible Contractor, Employee Classification) - Locations: - Primary work at/near N. 29th Ave. and Sleepy Hollow Ln, Omaha, NE - Pre-bid meeting and some coordination at Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility, 5600 S 10th Street, Omaha, NE 68107 - Administrative/bid security at Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183 - Focus on economically distressed census tracts in Omaha for workforce initiatives
