The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho is seeking contractors for large-scale aerial grass and sagebrush seeding services to restore and manage rangelands across multiple federal sites in southern Idaho. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Idaho State Office and Twin Falls District - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or named vendors are identified; the government will furnish seed from the Shoshone Seed Warehouse - Products/Services Requested: - Aerial application of grass and sagebrush seed on approximately 21,329 acres across units such as Poison Lake, Buckhorn, Notch Butte, and Lower Red Rock Flat 2 - Grass seeding (e.g., Poison Lake Unit 2: 7,432 acres; Buckhorn: 637 acres) - Sagebrush seeding (e.g., Poison Lake Unit 1: 6,630 acres; Notch Butte: 3,512 acres; Buckhorn: 637 acres; Lower Red Rock Flat 2: 1,918 acres) - Contractors must provide all aircraft, crews, and equipment for aerial seeding - Use of Differentially Corrected GPS (DGPS) navigation and data logging is required for precise application and reporting - Services include seed loading, transportation, and compliance with safety and environmental standards - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractors must demonstrate prior experience with similar aerial seeding projects - Detailed work plans, safety, and quality control plans are required - Seeding must be completed within seven working days of notice to proceed; sagebrush seeding may occur later pending seed testing - Project log data must be compatible with ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro - All seed is government-furnished and must be picked up from the Shoshone Seed Warehouse - Locations: - Work will be performed on BLM lands in Lincoln, Minidoka, and Cassia counties, including areas near Richfield, Shoshone, Murtaugh, and Malta - Delivery and pickup of seed at Shoshone Seed Warehouse, Shoshone, Idaho - Contracting office is the BLM Idaho State Office, Boise, Idaho
