Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is initiating 5-year status reviews under the Endangered Species Act for the Eskimo curlew, spectacled eider, and the Southwest Alaska distinct population segment of the northern sea otter. These reviews are based on the best scientific and commercial data available and aim to assess the current status, threats, and recovery efforts for these species. The agency is requesting submission of any new information that has become available since the last reviews in 2021. Comments are due by June 8, 2026.
