Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a new EPAAR provision and clause related to the signing of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests. This update will allow contractors to sign waste manifests at EPA worksites for the removal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials at both Superfund and non-Superfund sites, enabling work to continue when EPA personnel are not present. The rule aims to facilitate uninterrupted cleanup operations and includes management controls to prevent conflicts of interest and fraud. Public comments are due by June 8, 2026.
