The Government will provide a Technical Data Package (TDP) when available.
The Transfer Transmission Assembly is a drivetrain component for the HMMWV. This assembly functions as a secondary gearbox that directs power from the engine and main transmission to both the front and rear axles of the vehicle. This distribution of power is what enables the HMMWV's four-wheel-drive capability. The transfer case allows the driver to switch between different gear ranges.
