The University of Arkansas System (UAS) is seeking proposals from qualified insurance carriers to provide group term life, disability, and supplemental health insurance benefits for employees and participants. - Government Buyer: - University of Arkansas System (UAS), Board of Trustees - Over 20 campuses, divisions, units, and affiliated entities - OEMs and Vendors: - Current vendors: Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) for life and disability; United Healthcare (UHC) for supplemental health - Products/Services Requested: - Group Term Life Insurance (basic, supplemental, dependent, voluntary, retiree) - Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance - Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance - Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance - Disability case management, coaching, return to work, and reasonable accommodation services - Critical Illness Insurance - Accident Protection Insurance - Hospital Indemnity Insurance - Coverage for approximately 21,000 benefits-eligible employees and additional participants - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Proposals may be for Bundle 1 (life and disability) and/or Bundle 2 (supplemental health) - Must maintain or exceed current coverage levels - Accept all current participants without new waiting periods or evidence of insurability - Accommodate merged entities and affiliates - Strong administrative and participant support required - Interest in Premium Stabilization Reserve (PSR) for life and LTD coverage - Plan design alternatives may be considered - Managed through the University of Arkansas procurement portal

The University of Arkansas System is soliciting proposals for group term life insurance, AD&D, long-term disability, short-term disability, and supplemental health insurance for approximately 21,000 eligible employees and participants across over 20 campuses and affiliated entities. The contract term is up to four years with options to renew for up to three additional one-year terms, potentially totaling seven years. The University seeks competitive, affordable, and stable insurance products with strong service support and the possibility of separate awards for two coverage bundles: life and disability benefits, and critical illness, accident protection, and hospital indemnity.
