The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking information from vendors for the seasonal rental of refrigerated and freezer trailers to support holiday food storage at 33 commissary locations across the continental United States and Alaska. - Government Buyer: - Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Department of Defense - Contracting office located at Fort Lee, Virginia - Products/Services Requested: - Rental of 33 refrigerated trailers for the 2026 holiday season - 21 electric-powered, 12 diesel-powered - All trailers must be 53-foot with roll-up doors - Trailers must be cleaned, sanitized, and delivered with a full tank of fuel (for diesel units) - Must comply with FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and NSF certification standards - Equipped with appropriate electrical hookups (various voltages and amperages for electric units) - Emergency on-site repair service - 24-hour point of contact - 2-hour emergency response time - On-site repair or substitute trailer within 24 hours - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Fuel management for diesel trailers - Hygiene and safety compliance (FSMA/NSF) - Strict temperature control and damage reporting - 24-hour emergency repair with rapid response and replacement - Locations: - Delivery and service at 33 military bases and commissary locations across CONUS and Alaska, including Fort Bragg, Andrews AFB, Camp Pendleton, Fort Lee, and others - No specific OEMs or trailer manufacturers are named in the solicitation - Period of Performance: - Seasonal rental from late September/early October through mid-January (holiday season) - Emergency repairs must be initiated within 2 hours and resolved within 24 hours
