This opportunity involves the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources seeking bids for the construction and replacement of fishing platforms and a boardwalk at the Clearwater River Aquatic Management Area in Beltrami County, near Pinewood, MN. - Government Buyer: - Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) - Project Scope: - Construction of two 8x10 fishing platforms - Construction of a 60-inch wide boardwalk (approximately 630 linear feet main boardwalk and 199 linear feet of spurs) - Removal and offsite disposal of old fishing platforms and existing boardwalk - Materials and Technical Requirements: - All timber must be Douglas Fir No.1, pressure treated with copper napthenate in type A hydrocarbon solvent per AWPA P-36-22 and HAS-23 to meet AWPA UC4B & UC4C standards - Southern yellow pine is not acceptable - Composite decking must closely match existing color and be 5/4-inch rated for supports at 16 inches on-center - Use of hot-dipped galvanized steel components and corrosion-resistant connectors - Application of Ecosorb or approved equal to treated timber prior to installation - Helical posts must be designed to support a 2000 lbs service load - Compliance and Qualifications: - Compliance with Minnesota prevailing wage laws - Bidders must demonstrate experience with similar projects - Award to lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - All responses must be submitted electronically through the SWIFT Supplier Portal
