The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), Office of Tobacco Control, is seeking bids for a Cessation Program for Health Systems to advance tobacco cessation efforts across the state. - Government Buyer: - Mississippi State Department of Health, Office of Adult Health: Tobacco Control - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Quitline Referral Training (15 sessions): Training family physicians on tobacco cessation referral methods (2 As and an R, fax, electronic systems) - USPHS Guideline Training (21 sessions): Training for medical residency programs and first-year medical students on tobacco cessation guidelines - Conference Exhibits (9 events): Exhibits at annual conferences to promote cessation products, reimbursement, insurance, advocacy, and training - Promotional Events/Exhibits (15 events): Events supporting tobacco cessation programs and policy efforts - Newsletter (12 issues): Quarterly newsletters on cessation products, reimbursement, insurance, and advocacy - TIPS Campaign Poster Promotion (72 posters): Monthly distribution of CDC Tips Campaign and other cessation media posters - Project Coordination and Public Awareness Support: One Project Coordinator and one Foundation and Public Awareness Director to implement and support program deliverables - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Services must target Mississippi's medical students, residents, physicians, and family medicine clinics - Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience, provide client references, and submit all required documentation - Electronic bid submission is required via the MSDH OpenGov Procurement portal - Monthly reporting and invoicing; deliverables scheduled quarterly and annually - Contract may be renewed annually up to a total of five years, subject to approval
