This opportunity seeks professional planning and technical consulting services for the Township of West Orange under the USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program. - Government Buyer: - Township of West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey - Purchasing Department - Scope of Services: - Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Safety Study - Analyze crash data, identify high-risk locations, recommend countermeasures, develop cost estimates, prioritize improvements, and prepare mapping and reports - Update the Vision Zero Action Plan - Roadway Lighting Safety (RLS) Study - Review lighting infrastructure, analyze nighttime crash data, recommend lighting safety improvements, develop cost estimates, prioritize improvements, and prepare mapping and reports - Update the Vision Zero Action Plan - Public and Stakeholder Engagement - Coordinate with advocacy groups, schools, and community organizations - Attend six meetings with the Township and present findings to the Township Council - Reporting and SS4A Compliance - Prepare draft and final reports, ensure compliance with SS4A Planning Grant requirements, and maintain records for federal audit - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) for all demonstration, temporary, modular, or pilot materials purchased or installed using SS4A funds, unless a waiver is approved by USDOT - Adherence to federal and state regulations, including affirmative action and New Jersey business registration - Professionals must have licensing and experience relevant to the SS4A Program - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Place of Performance: - Township of West Orange, 66 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052 - Essex County, New Jersey

The Township of West Orange is soliciting proposals for professional planning and technical services related to the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program.
