The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Richmond VA Medical Center, is conducting market research via this sources sought notice to identify qualified businesses capable of providing generator rental services that meet the requirements below. Salient Characteristics

A. Required Function: Provide rental of a generator that complies with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. B. Required Performance: Richmond VA Medical Center requires a temporary trailer-mounted generator (1500kW/1.5MW) to meet NFPA startup standards until a permanent solution is implemented. C. Essential Physical Characteristics: The rental generator must meet the following specifications: Power Output: 1500 KW Rating: 1750 KVA Onboard Fuel: 0 gallons Voltage: 480/277V, 3 phase Frequency: 60 Hz Fuel Capacity: 5,200 gallons Trailer-mounted unit Built-in fuel tank Start-up assist feature Ability to connect to existing critical power switchgear All copper wiring Compatible with current switchgear connection methods Controlled by the existing generator control system Include electrical drawings Provided with galvanized rigid steel (GRS) conduit

Qualifications of Offerors: Must be established in the required field, and provide appropriate licensing Must be financially responsible and able to demonstrate reliability, experience, equipment, facilities, and personnel necessary to provide satisfactory service
