NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking the procurement and construction of a spray booth and booth bench to support its Thermal Coating group operations. - Government Buyer: - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), on behalf of Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) - OEMs and Vendors: - FINISHING SYSTEMS INC (sole source provider) - Products/Services Requested: - Main Spray Booth (recirculating dry filter enclosed finishing booth) - 1 unit - Features: 18' x 10' x 20' internal dimensions, dual skin insulated walls, semi downdraft, LED lighting, 100 FPM air velocity, 3600 CFM exhaust, climate control insulation, exhaust duct modifications - Bench Spray Booth (dry filter open face bench booth) - 1 unit - Features: 4' x 4' x 3' internal dimensions, galvanized steel, cross draft, 100 FPM air velocity, 1600 CFM exhaust, exterior grade coating, roof-mounted exhaust fan - Installation and Supervision Services - Includes: Supervision, assembly hardware, labor, electrical wiring, lifting devices, and training - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Custom design and climate control specifications for both booths - Modifications to exhaust systems, including roof-mounted fans and structural supports - Contractor must provide all labor, supervision, and training for installation - Place of Performance: - NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Building 5, room E062, Greenbelt, MD

Description

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Procurement and construction of Spray booth and booth bench. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to FINISHING SYSTEMS INC 70 Willow Springs CIR York, Pennsylvania 17406-8428 United States under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that FINISHING SYSTEMS INC is the sole provider of Procurement and construction of Spray booth and booth bench.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort.  Performance will be located at NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 327910.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 4/13/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
